Challenge #10 - Theme Colours of your Country's flag bonus technique Shaped Card not square/rectangle

April is here and this means a new challenge.  Thanks to everyone for joining in our last challenge.  So many beautiful Easter designs and great to see a lot of people adding those extra folds to their creations to get their bonus entries.  Now the Design Team has thought long and hard and their Favourite for  challenge #9 is:-

Isn't Donna's Easter basket just stunning. It has been filled with chocolate eggs of various sizes, and Lace Eggs.
To make this Easter basket Donna has used cardstock, patterned papers, punches, smallest nesting egg first on heavy acetate coloured with Tria Markers. Then poured some crystal Waco pearl maker over it to cover the whole egg and sprinkled glamour dust. Donna cut a second Lace Egg out of gold mirri card and glued one to the front and one to the back of the egg.  Then attached a gold puffy bow on the front of each egg.
Please click on the photo to be taken to Donna's blog with more details and photos.

Our sponsor this month is The Sticker Store
This store was created to make it easier to track down the stickers needed for your craft projects. Sticker Store is a sister company of Blue Edge Crafts . Blue Edge Crafts have been supplying all sorts of paper craft products to the public including card making and scrapbooking accessories at very affordable prices since 2000.
When we select our products we make sure that they are of the best quality because we want to you be happy with every purchase you make.

Finally, it is now time to showcase the Design Teams wonderful and very creative paper crafts.

To start with we have a Guest Designer Kym of Kym's Crafty Cards with us this month.  Kym was part of the DT call a couple of months ago. All the runners up were offered a Guest Design spot.

Kym is from the United Kingdom
Kym has used a great collection of dies to create this wonderful Easel Card

JanR is from Canada
Jan has used a hint of black to make this card work which is totally acceptable in our challenge.  As long as the majority of your papercraft creation represents the colours of your country's flag.
JanR has used cardstock, embossing and twine to create this terrific shaped card.

 Merry is from Australia
Merry has used Linen Textured Cardstock and Bazzill patterned paper from Blue Edge Crafts,  paper flowers, bling brads from Pizzazz Aplenty.

Monica is from Indonesia
Another first for Monica....a flowerpot card.
It is wonderful to see that we are even getting the Design Team out of their comfort zones
Ribbon punch - Fiskars, Flowers - made with Sizzix dies and Carla craft punches, Embossing on Pot - Cuttlebug,   Gems - Prima,  Ribbon - from her stash.

Stacie is from United States of America
Card is cut using Cricut and Wild Card cartridge. Sentiment is from The Sticker Store.

Susan is from Australia
Susan has opted to use the Australian Sporting Flag which is totally allowable as this flag does represent Australia any sporting events.  So you can do similar.
This is an easel card with a drawer (full of chocolates), made from SU cardstock. Flag and animal stickers. The boxing kangaroo and sentiment, along with the outline of Australia are all computer generated. The two characters are the backs of chocolates bought at the Supermarket.  The sentiment on the bottom has a touch of Monica about it - handwritten. The button on the drawer is off Susan's parents old couch. Spellbinders dies used for the circles and banner, and a punch for the bottom sentiment and stars.

Annmaree is from Australia
Babushka shaped card using the Cricut and stickers from Sticker Store.

Beth is from Australia
Beth has used some terrific dies and pearl bling to create this card and a rub on sentiment.

Cathy is from Australia

  5. What an unusual idea... will see what can be done with black, red and gold/yellow. Actually, now that I'm typing it, it sounds like a good Christmas card color combo...
