September is A Funny Time.....

So, what is the September challenge?

Challenge#39: Be Funny

and the TWIST is
to "frame it"

Sponsored by Susan (me) and the Wood Fellow (hubby!)

The prize is this Spellbinders diecut set

So, a great prize and well worth accepting this challenge!

OK, so what will be acceptable for this challenge?

Well, there are many ways you can be funny or represent comedy in your craft - visual gags and images, puns and plays of words, innuendo (but keep it family clean) ......... what could be done here with this, for example?

"Oh Ship, I forgot your birthday!"

I found it on Pinterest. Yes, you can use it - be my guest!

Quotations from the rich, often old and famous can be mildly amusing and attached to an image - a photo, a drawing, an image taken from a magazine or book..........they can make some good cards. Mae West has some crackers and there are lots of images of her on the web! Some of the Vintage sites have great material as well. Some of the craft sites also have decoupage sets.

I have included this here because it is so borderline with the rules of no stamps, including digi's but this one is, I think, still acceptable.  It is NOT a stamp or a digital stamp, as it is a coloured image in a digital decoupage kit purchased from Bugaboo  but there are quite a number of other companies out there that also produce them.  It has been printed out several times and then various bits cut to decoupage.   I also have added to the image with some sparkle..... the rules do say decoupage and we don't stipulate where people can purchase their kits from.

If you want to go that way, then you will not be penalized or excluded from the challenge.

However, the DT have gone another way and they have some amazing inspiration here for you also

This one is hand drawn and the spiders added as is the heart. Idea again from Pinterest.

Using oversized chipboard letters and a felt number.

She has used the Sihouette Cameo cut and print feature to create everything on this card, with the exception of the days of the week washi tape pieces in the upper right hand corner.

Well, there you have it! I do hope you feel inspired to join in and make a Funny card, scrap page or item from paper without resorting to stamps (digital or rubber) - don't forgetto FRAME IT for the TWIST.
