Short month, February.....

Hello Peeps!
Some advise for you......

I love Facebook for finding all these!

As the heading says, February is a short month, even in a leap year - and this one is not a leap year.
I have a BIL whose birthday is on the 29th February; he turned 18 the same year as his eldest Granddaughter
However, it makes life a bit fraught decided if it is celebrated on the 28th or the 1st of March, even if you remain younger than your cohort and get younger than them each year

You have less than a week to enter the latest challenge here
February Challenge #44 National Symbols

There are many formal and informal national symbols - you do not have to be limited too much - if you can justify your choice in your blog, go for it!

The twist is to use your country's flag colours in your creation
Just don't use stamps!

The Prize is this collection of new material (value approx $20 Aus)

So you want some more inspiration? OK - these might help!

The twist is to look out your window, and then incorporate something from the view into your project. It might be only one item or it may be the whole thing!

Some of you have such pretty things to look at out your windows!

I went to the Random Number Generator website and it told me
The winner for January is

Congratulations to Dawn

The DT Favorite is

Well done Lou Lou

Thank you too to the other entrants - for having a go and accepting our challenge. We hope to see you all back again and again!

For instance, the February challenge is up and it is

February Challenge #44 National Symbols

Incorporate a national symbol or iconic image from your country into your work - something a stranger to your land would immediately recognise as being of your place. For example, the White House is symbolic of the USA, and the Buck House soldiers are definitely from the UK, and a sprig of heather is Scottish and the 4 leaf clover is Irish, while the leek is Welsh! Apparently the white eagle is a symbol of Poland but I had to look that one up!

The twist is to use the colours from your country's flag on your project somewhere
Note too, that it does not have to be a card - you can make any paper project as long as you don't use a stamp of any kind on it (excluding postage stamps - you can use them!)

Some more inspiration for you today

How vibrant are those colours!

Wattle is on our coat of arms

Yes, two more cards but you don not have to create only cards - so, get thinking, get creating and go HERE to link your work! We are looking forward to seeing what you can create.

February Challenge#44 -

Welcome back to a new challenge for February!
I hope all you peeps had a great Christmas and New Year with family and friends and that the winter's chill or lack of summer did not make life too intolerable for you all!

Apparently 2016 is the Year of the Sheep!

I personally like the one in the middle! She's my kinda girl!
According to the computer, it is the house of the Arts
I'm cool with that

On to the next challenge, with a reminder that the winner's from January will be announced next week

The beach is Western Australia's greatest attraction.

Can you guess where I'm from?

Cyprus Moufflon can be seen on stamps and is also the symbol on national airline plus the olive branch from the national flag.
