Last Week for August Challenge: A Significant Birthday

Spring seems to have Sprung here in Tasmania!

And don't we know it with lambs bobbing about and blossoms abounding! On the various coasts of our little island, the waters are smooth (albeit cold) and the reflections are stunning.

This photo is at a small seaside fishing village called Strahan, on the west coast of Tassie.

So, with time rushing on, you have only until the 29th August to get your entry in for the current challenge:

 A Significant Birthday!
TWIST: use/create a shaped CARD

Now, the birthday may be one that ends in zero, or be for a Right of Passage birthday but it could also be for a significant person, or a birthday that has a special significance - that's OK, just explain that in your blog when you post the card.

Yes, there is a prize because we are sponsored for August by the wonderful

Regal Craft
and the prize is
$15.00 voucher to be spent in their on-line store!

Do we have some more inspiration for you?
When have we ever let you down!

Isn't it fortuitous that our theme this month is SIGNIFICANT BIRTHDAYS!
The TWIST is a shaped card, if you dare to take it!

We are being sponsored again by

Regal Craft
with a prize of a $15.00 voucher to be spent in the on-line store
Many thanks to the lovely people in Launceston!!

Now, for some lovely DT inspiration:  our Guest Designer, Deb, has outdone herself and created a second card for us for midway.  Wasn't that nice of her!

 love that cupcake!

Our DT also came up trumps:

Using shaped card from Kanban

Susan: a carpenter's pouch

I love vintage china tea cups & saucers as well as beautiful tea pots.
When I saw this shaped card, I knew instantly that I wanted to create something special with it.

Using template from stash

Hope that gets the creative juices flowing!

All you have to do is make a card (hopefully using a shape of some kind - Pinterest was full of good ideas on that!) and make it for a Significant Birthday - remember, if it is not a Rite of Passage birthday or one that ends in zero, please say why it is significant.

Many thanks to our sponsor and they also supplied the DT with shaped cards of our choice as well - wasn't that kind! As some of the DT live a long way away from Launceston, Tasmania, you might not see their shaped card from the sponsor until later in the month!

We also have a Guest Designer again this month - Debbie Reed - and her blog can be found HERE. She has provided us with a wonderful card for inspiration to start the month!

You can find similar Z cards at Regal Craft - I have a lovely one in Kraft!

I love all those hearts and the whole thing just oozes love for the recipient. Many thanks Deb for being our Guest Designer for August!

Now, the DT have also come up with some inspiration - some of the team are currently on summer break but we shall see their work later in the month!
