Hello Peeps - hope that nasty virus is leaving you and yours alone
We are still surviving
Guess what - it is the last week for the challenge for April
Creative People and/or Being Creative
TWIST - name a creative person you admire
and CASe a piece of their work
We have some lovely pieces entered but unfortunately we still have people using
either digital stamps or stamped images - we cannot accept them
Please make sure your piece is an UNstamped piece before entering
Some of you are aware that in Australia and New Zealand we commemorate a day in late April
as a National Day
This stands for Australian and New Zealand Armed Forces
For the first time since 1919 and the Spanish Flue we have not had a march or public gatherings for this and many found this would be very hard to accept.
It was suggested that we all go to the top of our driveways or onto our balconies at 6.00am
and with a candle and our phones turned to the Canberra Dawn service hold a memorial and a minutes silence there.
Across Australia on Saturday morning at 6.00 am thousands of us gathered to remember
with our candles in the early morning light
I was so proud of our country
Geilston Bay
In the dark people waited and the trumpet and guitar and harp and clarinet players
put their best foot forward and played the Last Post and Revally for us
It made the hair on my body stand up and I cried
This is the card I made as a result
It is for the artistic part of the challenge
I have not attempted the TWIST with this one
