Well, a momentous start January.
We can only hope that the year settles down - and that we find peace and happiness with our family and friends, including our on-line friends all over the world.
This post - the second one in the challenge - is always to announce the winner for the previous month. Yippee! However, before then I need to let you know of some changes in the DT for 2015.
We have lost several DT members -
Margaret and
Jane - and wish to salute them and wish them well! Thank you for all your work for this blog.
Tracey F has been accepted on the DT for Heartfelt Creations (Congratulations Tracey!) and as a consequence has her hands very full at the moment. She is taking leave for a few months and we wish her well and cannot wait for her to come back to work with us again!
So, there were gaps again!
We therefore welcome to the team a new DT member
Jen Leeflang
Please go to her blog and leave lots of love.
We can probably do with another 2 or 3 new members so if you are interested in being on the DT please
email me!
We are also looking for possible Sponsors for 2015 and would love to hear from you about that - but remember - we are not a stamping challenge!
NOW
Challenge #42 for December was
Summer Fun
with a twist to make a Southern Hemisphere Christmas card
and she offered us
this die as a prize for the winner.
CAS is always good!
The DT Favourite is
a Hot Christmas didn't happen for me - it was overcast and about 20 degrees! But this card has some hot colours going in it!
Congratulations to both crafters. I have been in touch, so if there is no email from me, check the junk mail and then contact me!
Our current challenge for January is
has a twist of incorporating something from outside your window
You don't have to do the twist BUT it would be so much more fun if you did!
Here is some inspiration - two ways to use photographs in your work!
What a great layout and so topical at the moment too - with flood and drought almost side by side in this big land of ours.
Karen's use of a photo is better than mine, but I just wanted to show that with a bit of decoration you can incorporate a photo into a card as well!
This is the last sunset of 2014 from my window
Well, there you have it - winner's and words and some more inspiration to spur you on to create - wait till you see what is coming next week! Amazing stuff!
