Winner's from September and latest Challenge#116: Everyone has a Story

 Hello Peeps

Welcome to week two of the October challenge

#116: Everyone has a Story

TWIST: use a page from a book somewhere in your piece

This bit of inspiration (a journal page) is a bit of cheat on the TWIST because firstly I photocopied a
page out of my dictionary and then only used a bit of that page.....but I did use that bit of a page from a book and
put it into a page in a book!

I copied the image (of course) from a piece found on Pinterest
You can go HERE to see how it was constructed

Before I go, the winner's of the September Challenge need to be published
(see below)

Random Number draw: 2 Pam

DT Favorite: 8 Ann

Congratulations to the winners

If you are the random number winner, send me an email at
suhoganatgmaildotcomdotau regarding your prize.

Both can email me for a blinkie too if you would like one.

(Remember, where it says dot you type a dot; and use the 'at' sign for at)

Guess who turned four in this house earlier this week...

Happy Birthday Mr Weasley

May Winners and June Challenge: #112 Seasons and a TWIS of flowers

 Hello Peeps

I  hope you are all travelling well in your own space and coping with all the challenges life throws at you. Sometimes it really packs a whammy, doesn't it!

I am currently in the middle of a winter moment. Here in Tassie we escaped the storms of the east coast on the mainland but some places were badly damaged. I was just talking to a family member in outer Melbourne and she send me photo's of her back yard with the three big trees all blown over and ruining her fences and into neighbouring gardens.  After three day's they have finally got their power back on in the last hour or two.

Meanwhile I was hoping for rain as our garden is so dry and plants are suffering. It finally delivered four day's of a drizzle and some heavier showers so I don't have to water but we have been living in a fog of mist and wet clothes and muddy pawprints on the floor....... but winter can be so pretty here too.

Enjoy picturesque views over the bucolic tapestry of Meander Valley.

Winners from February, plus Challenge#109: LOCKDOWN! with a TWIST of Scrap It

Hello Peeps!

Welcome to week two of the March Challenge....

Challenge#109: LOCKDOWN!

with a TWIST of Scrap It!

This seems to have stumped a few of you.
Remember, you can use a scrap page or you can make a journal page or a card
as long as the theme is "Lockdown"
Perhaps your card is to send to someone still in Lockdown to see how they are going?
Or you can create something that reflects how you are travelling during Lockdown ( or travelled, if you are out like we are)

The TWIST is easy - with scrap (or journal) it or use scraps!

Now, the winners of February - we has some lovely entries and so have several DT Favorites

There is only one random number draw though

What a great way to use up ribbons!

Now, the DT Favorites
in no particular order

Congratulations all.
Margreet - can you email me please
suhoganatgmaildotcom

If you would like blinkies to put on your blog, shoot me through a request

Now, this week's inspiration comes from my (much neglected) art journal and was done in April last year as part of my Wanderlust course in journalling, which I still have to complete.
It is not very good but it expressed my feelings at the time.....

Susan

It is a double page spread of ink, paint and collage

That is not a self portrait. You can let your hair down and just enjoy the experience of doing it without seeking perfection when you journal as it is not going to been seen by many and is not going to anyone.

(This is her 3rd EVER scrap page! Excellent work Keti!)

Let us see what you can do.....

18 January 2021

December winners!

Happy New Year (again)

Our year started well with a new edition arriving on Saturday (yesterday)

His name is Bingo and he is 8 weeks old.

Weasley is coming to terms with sharing but this morning was the first real face-off - through a window, needless to say. Things are a bit better - no more hissing and growling going on. Bingo is behaving himself much better now! Weasley has been a good boy and just spent time looking but the body language says it all!

The boys are supposed to get on and be friends  - we will see.

Now, there were some winners to be announced.......

For the random number draw winner.....

15. KARINSARTSCRAP: Winter

Contact me Karin and I will send the prize
suhoganatgmaildotcom

Keep Safe and Keep Crafting: Challenge#106 Believe and winners of #105

 Hello Peeps

A bad time going around.... I found this poem on the internet written this year by an Italian woman Mariangela Gualtieri

This is meant to say we had to stop

We know it. We all felt it.

That it was too furious our doing. Our being

                                 with others.

                                All of us outwards.

Agitating every hour - to make it yield.

We had to stop and we could not.

                                Should have done it together.

                                Slowing the race.

                                But we could not.

I believe it says it all.......

Time to look to the winners of #105

It was all about Inspire.....

Congratulations Ladies
If you would like a blinkie, email me
Monica, I think you have my email but if not
suhoganatgmaildotcom
to collect your prize.

Reminder that this month the

Challenge #106 is BELIEVE

and the TWIST is to use an unusual fold

Here are some examples using the theme of 'believe' and the twist of the gatefold

Off you go, get crafting.....better than watching television!

You have three weeks left to enter.

12 October 2020

September Winners and Week two of Challenge#105 Inspire with a TWIST of thank you!

Hello Peeps

Another week for crafting and another week of strange events!

Lots of COVID19 again so stay safe and keep wearing those masks and washing those hands please as well as staying socially distanced.

It is week 2 of the new challenge

INSPIRE

Who inspired you, especially in the world of crafting?

The TWIST is to make a thank you card or tag
because we should always thank the ones who inspire us!

Last month we had a Phoenix Rising - here are the winners!

Random Number winner is

Wendy, contact me at suhoganatgmaildotcom please

The Design Team Favorite is:

The Design Team Member on show today has created such a pretty card

"My inspiration comes from my Mom. When I was a little girl we used to make Christmas cards together and send them to relatives and friends. She was definitely my inspiration into to world of paper craft -- and as a thank you I made a card with "To Mom" -sentiment (in Finnish) on it."

What are you going to make?

There are three weeks left!

14 September 2020

Week 2 of September Challenge and Winner's from August!

Hi folks - time to announce our August winners and bring you some more inspiration for the current challenge. There seems to be a bit of a frightening shudder about this one, so I have some things to encourage you to have a go.......

There seems to be a bit of fear around the idea of a phoenix rising......

The theme is really about coming back from adversity...
so, someone might have been ill, survived an accident, come through a rough year,
passed an exam under difficult circumstances.....

......mostly it is that they have survived!

There are lots of images of the phoenix on FB and Pinterest to get you started
if you want to be linear about this and use a Phoenix
(but there is not need to do that).

You can just make something that is about the idea of winning through the tough times
and being strong.

A breast cancer card is a good one or a get well card after an operation - especially if it has been an operation that is unexpected. These days it could be recovering from COVID19!

Firstly the August Winners

Random Number

No 17: WendyLynne

DT Favorites

2. Fatima: Pink Clover

18. Crafty Nomad

Congratulations to you all

Remember, no prize for the DT Favorite but there is a blinkie if you would like it

Random Number has a prize - please contact me

suhoganatgmaildotcom

Now, for the current challenge

Remember, it is the theme of the Phoenix or Rising from the Ashes
with a TWIST of using an embossing folder in your work. in this inspiration piece.
There is no TWIST in this next piece - I forgot!

Susan

This is a hand drawing if you couldn't tell

This is beautiful!

REMEMBER: no stamps

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A PHOENIX

There are three weeks left to have a go at this!
