Short month, February.....

Some advise for you......

I love Facebook for finding all these!

As the heading says, February is a short month, even in a leap year - and this one is not a leap year.

I have a BIL whose birthday is on the 29th February; he turned 18 the same year as his eldest Granddaughter

However, it makes life a bit fraught decided if it is celebrated on the 28th or the 1st of March, even if you remain younger than your cohort and get younger than them each year

You have less than a week to enter the latest challenge here

There are many formal and informal national symbols - you do not have to be limited too much - if you can justify your choice in your blog, go for it!

The twist is to use your country's flag colours in your creation

Just don't use stamps!

Incorporate a national symbol or iconic image from your country into your work - something a stranger to your land would immediately recognise as being of your place. 

The twist is to use the colours from your country's flag on your project somewhere!

Note too, that it does not have to be a card - you can make any paper project as long as you don't use a stamp of any kind on it (excluding postage stamps - you can use them!)

For example, the White House is symbolic of the USA, and the Buck House soldiers are definitely from the UK, and a sprig of heather is Scottish and the 4 leaf clover is Irish, while the leek is Welsh! Apparently the white eagle is a symbol of Poland but I had to look that one up!

December Winner's Post!

Well, a momentous start January.

We can only hope that the year settles down  - and that we find peace and happiness with our family and friends, including our on-line friends all over the world.

This post - the second one in the challenge - is always to announce the winner for the previous month. Yippee! However, before then I need to let you know of some changes in the DT for 2015.

We have lost several DT members - Margaret and Jane  - and wish to salute them and wish them well! Thank you for all your work for this blog.

Tracey F has been accepted on the DT for Heartfelt Creations (Congratulations Tracey!) and as a consequence has her hands very full at the moment. She is taking leave for a few months and we wish her well and cannot wait for her to come back to work with us again!

So, there were gaps again!
