Connie Can Crop

Hello ladies! I'm Connie and I am thrilled to be joining you this year! I come to you from Sunny Southern California, USA. I have been married for almost 22 years and have 2 grown boys and 3 cats!! I am a crazy cat lady and would love to have more! LOL!

I have been crafting my entire life! But am mostly a scrapbooker since high school! You can find me hanging out at Miss Kate Cuttables, I have been on her Design team for about 4 years and love it! Some of you may  also have seen me around the Paper Playful Registry.

Well, there you have the full team now - we are off and running for a great 2019 of challenges.

Those colours are just so splendid!

How are you going with Bright and Cheerful?
There are so many gorgeous entries so far - obviously this one has hit a nerve.

Remember - it does not have to be a Valentines card/gift
Just as long as it is Bright and Cheerful and the TWIST is to be a bit Arty!

It also does not have to be a card - as long as there is no stamp involved.

There will be a prize for this month
 $15 Gift Voucher
(via PayPal or direct to on-line store, whichever suits)

There are four pieces of inspiration at this point in the month

Second Week of Challenge#86: Simply Bright and Cheerful....

The TWIST for this is remember ........ Arty Creations Appreciated

For example, I love this one from Google Images

Image result for arty creations

and this one

Image result for arty creations

..or this one...

Image result for arty creations

...or this...

Image result for arty creations

This is just my taste - the rest of the team probably have other ideas about what is ARTY...
It is very personal.

However, the twist does not have to be something to avoid - it can be something to embrace!
Unleash your inner artist!

You don't have to follow the TWIST to enter the challenge

BUT

you have a greater chance of winning the DT's approval if you do!

The Random Number prize will still apply
to anyone who follows the theme and does not use stamps in their creation -
and for this month it is:

 A $15 Gift Voucher
(via PayPal or direct to on-line store, whichever suits)

It is usual at this time to announce the winner(s) from last month but as we have already done that for December, we will move on to the DT's inspiration.

The Design Team have created again for your enjoyment and this time we will introduce several more new members:

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards (I'm a rubber girl but do dabble in digis), 3-D projects- especially paper shoes and gift bags, mixed media projects, altering an occasional tin and box, as well as beading and making jewelry occasionally when I find the time! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D

Deanne returns for another year of greatness!

Mini Gift Bag with Tag for money or gift card or small present

and another newbie

I enjoy creating. Since I have my corner in my room in a new apartment, I spend a lot of spare time at the table and try new things. I'm near CAS style. From April 2017, I am also a Sizzix promoter. I really enjoy this. I am a lawyer in the profession, but I hope that most of this will not count as a minus ;-) You can also monitor my creative projects at the FB.

There you have it for this week
Don't forget to link up you piece of goodness in the week one post below!
See you next week!

On to the first of our new Design Team members

Here is a bt more about Monika

Hi there.
My name is Monika. I run a blog: http://cohenna.com
I love cards with all the flowers. I do all flowers myself, then they are unique.
Card is charming and a little bit romantic.
Privately I'm a wife and mother of two urchins.
I live in a small village in Poland. Craft is my passion and a way to relax.

My current and past DT:

Hugs
Monika

Now on to some more inspiration from other DT members who have all had
a bit of a break and are raring to go!

Let's see what you can come up with using this theme and being a bit ARTY!

Don't forget - you cannot use stamps!

Please link up your wonderful creation below:

Only a Week to Go!

I hope you all celebrated well on Australia Day (the 26th) and will enjoy the public holiday today!
Many people here in Tasmania are finished up their summer holidays at the beach and will be heading home as school starts next week too.

The final week(end) had been a bit fraught with bushfires everywhere in the state, mostly started with dry lightening strikes. The fuel is so dry everything is burning too easily. All very sad. However, the rest of the summer was a bonzer time.

A beautiful capture of a dingy on Stewarts Bay beach.
This little gem of a spot is in a sheltered bay, perfect for swimming and kayaking, whilst wildlife abounds here with many native animals calling the beach and surrounding bush home.

There is only one more week until we begin our new challenge year
#86: (Wonder what the challenge will be) with a TWIST (mmm, how will I do that?)

Remember, we do not allow STAMPS, either digital or rubber or acrylic or wood
However, we do allow everything else to do with papercraft!

We have a few new members of the Design Team and will introduce them throughout the month.
Please welcome them.

Meanwhile, keep crafting and enjoying life!

DT Call now closed

Thank you to all those that applied. We have added 6 new DT members to our team and will be revealing who and what they can do over the next month!

Until then - happy crafting.

(PS) someone called Unknown applied. If you were genuine, please leave a comment below with your name and blog and I will follow that up.

14 January 2019

Welcome to 2019!

I hope you are all crafting up a storm out there and enjoying the new year.

Our days have been mostly barmy and dreamy

This is on the North West tip of Tassie

WOW... sunset at Marrawah thanks to Aussie Destinations Unknown who says:
How gorgeous is this pic we snapped at Marrawah? Can you see the moon in the middle of that epic sunset? 👌🏼♥️ It’s one of the most picturesque places we’ve free-camped yet. 🤙🏼

We have had a glorious summer to date - some days a bit windy and one day very smokey and a bit scary for those of us who remembered the 1967 bushfires in Hobart. However we were not showered with ash or burning leaves this time.....

Taken by me last week in the city at the top of Murray Street

...but on the whole it has been blues skies and glorious warm weather.

This is at Bridestow  in the North East
The lavender farm is quite famous, particularly in Japan and China....

:BE prepared to work with the rest of our team!
: BE prepared to enjoy yourself!!!

We make all sorts of projects and off the page stuff so not only cards and/or tags

24 December 2018

Twice as Muddled.

First things first - I have to apologize to the September winner Chris and the October winner Jenny: your winning were posted but to the wrong person. Apparently,  Jenny got Chris's prize and Chris will be getting Jenny's when it finally arrives - the post to Europe is slow. I seem to have written  the wrong addresses on the envelopes when I was posting them off. As one went to Europe and one went to the Australian mainland, I am afraid I cannot exchange them.

As I donate these prizes from my own pocket - I do not have a business that supplies these or sponsors - therefore I am afraid the occasional slip-up will have to be accepted. To either repurchase or rescind these prizes and resend would be an expense beyond what I am willing to pay.  Enjoy the difference and accept the error please.

Secondly

May you all have a happy, peaceful and joyous time over the next few days.
Thank you for participating and reading this blog in 2018.

Now, we have one week left of the last challenge of the year:

Challenge 86: Christmas theme for your Family or Country

Twist - explain the theme in your blog

Some countries have particular themes around Christmas
Some families also have particular themes bought from the old country to the new one

Remember: you can scrap; make a card or tag; or do off-the-page items and 3D stuff
for this challenge as long as you Please DON'T USE STAMPS!

Last one for the year so let us see what you can do!

There is a prize:
Hopefully I will send it to the right person this time!

Some inspiration for the last week:

In Australia we have a hot Christmas - well, usually (yes, even in Tasmania)
This year looks to be no exception

Meals nowadays tend to be less traditional at Christmas time
Prawns are often the go - we had a prawn salad this evening for dinner

Meals are eaten out of doors - even on the beach!

...or the verandah...

...or backyard.....

Dessert is not plumb pudding but usually summer fruits or a meringue

and icecream usually too!

I made a pavlova (meringue) but it isn't creamed yet....
It is sitting on paper....cheeky, I know

I will eventually get around to scrapping about this but haven't done so yet...

Let us see what you have made in the last week of December for 2018.
