One Week Left for challenge#110

The Challenge #110 is to have some fun with animals

and the TWIST is to layer it up!

Today in Australia it is ANZAC DAY

It is the most important national day for most of us in the year

Australians also love their football. The home of football is Melbourne and the
MCG is the main stadium where it is played.
A game on the MCG is important - on ANZAC DAY it is stupendous.

Today, over 73 000 people are at the ground there watching two teams clash and millions watching across the country on TV.

At the start of the game, there is an ANZAC service.

My Granddaughter was asked to sing the NZ National Anthem there at the start of the game today (and for the game there last night)

Needless to say - a very proud Grandmother!

I made a card too for today.....as inspiration for the last week...

Fun with Animals is the theme but my animal (human) is probably not fun

Lots of layers happening though!

I watercoloured the background and torn card for the hills. the poppy field is a die cut and so is the soldier and the sentiment. There are at least 4 layers.

You have five days to enter as like always we always end at midnight on the Friday night.

Midway through April and Challenge#110: Theme is Animals and TWIST is Layers......

Hello Peeps. Currently typing this up with one cat on the printer and  another around my feet! Small one is trying to climb to older brother without much luck! The autumnal afternoons are turning cool and Weasley is happy to come in and warm himself up chasing Bingo around and hissing at him! The both want to be fed but were appeased with a treat for a while.

Save me Mum!

Autumn has arrived and we are looking at cool days, green tomatoes and wearing layers!

Some of our small villages have a distinct English look - this is Deloraine in the north of the state.
Lots of English trees......

Remember, we have two more weeks to run.....and no stamps thanks........

The Challenge is to have some fun with animals and the TWIST is to layer it up!

Some DT inspiration might get you thinking........

Susan

Remember, two weeks to go!

(PS I will get to emails and stuff this week hopefully!)

Winners from March and Week 2 of the April Challenge#110: Animal Fun with a Twist of layering

Hello Peeps!

Hope you are all hanging in there - life is becoming more and more difficult for us all but if we remain kind to each other and supportive, we will get through to the other side relatively unscathed.

Welcome to week two of the April Challenge

Challenge #110: Animal Fun!

TWIST: Layer it Up!

Any animal you use - human or non-human - will fit this one.
Plus it is around Easter so you can use the rabbits and chicks and ducklings
to your hearts (or harts) content!

Life has been a bit hectic for the team but we have some winner's to share anyway!

For the random Number winner

No 20: Golden  Goddess  Alicia

Congratulations Alicia

I will be in touch regarding collecting the prize

The DT Favourite could have been so many but eventually went to:

This embodied so much from the last challenge - thinking outside the square; no stamps; journalling - a legitimate paper craft activity not used very often; and humour! However, it was simple and thus so effective. Not to say others were not effective too - they certainly were, but this one had so much character and the three images were tied together so well. I am sure we could all relate to the theme of coffee, music and crafting during Covid shutdowns!

For this challenge, remember please NO STAMPS

Isn't this cute!

I found an old (and I mean old) decoupage or papertolle sheet with some teddy bears in my cleaning up and decided to reduce the stash by creating this small card. The ingredients come from a variety of places--too many to name. Decoupage seems to have gone out of fashion or I am just not seeing it in my weekly forages into the internet but I still enjoyed making this quick little number. It is layered and I added another with the heart doily to give it a 3 D look!

The layers can be seen here more clearly

My crafting companion on this wet day--his big brother Weasley has been growling at him all day, so he is now fast sleep at my feet. This photo was taken yesterday - he has so many toys out but these two- rat and bear - are the favorites now!

Happy Crafting - you have until the end of April to enter!
