June third week: Challenge#112: Seasons and Seasonal TWIST: use handmade flower(s)

 Hello Peeps

It is winter and the solstice has passed here on Tuesday. We celebrated it on Tuesday morning with a mid-winter swim in the nude in the middle of the city.

Dark Mofo | Nude Solstice Swim

I would like to say I did the swim but I lay in bed listening to the radio broadcast the screams of the people who ran into the water, while I was snug under the doona. I salute them and their enthusiasm....

I associate winter here in Tassie with the cool blues and green - my favorite colours really

With the challenge been a Seasonal one, I created a simple card based on these colours and the theme

Susan

May Winners and June Challenge: #112 Seasons and a TWIS of flowers

 Hello Peeps

I  hope you are all travelling well in your own space and coping with all the challenges life throws at you. Sometimes it really packs a whammy, doesn't it!

I am currently in the middle of a winter moment. Here in Tassie we escaped the storms of the east coast on the mainland but some places were badly damaged. I was just talking to a family member in outer Melbourne and she send me photo's of her back yard with the three big trees all blown over and ruining her fences and into neighbouring gardens.  After three day's they have finally got their power back on in the last hour or two.

Meanwhile I was hoping for rain as our garden is so dry and plants are suffering. It finally delivered four day's of a drizzle and some heavier showers so I don't have to water but we have been living in a fog of mist and wet clothes and muddy pawprints on the floor....... but winter can be so pretty here too.

Enjoy picturesque views over the bucolic tapestry of Meander Valley.

June challenge:#112 Seasons and Seasonal TWIST: use handmade flower(s)

Hello Peeps.... welcome to the first week of our June Challenge

The theme this month is

#112: Seasons and Seasonal

We are heading into winter here
The wombat's are looking forward to some snowy weather but not too snowy - they still have to eat!

I believe that means summer in the northern hemisphere....
but it can be a seasonal thing rather than an actual season,
such as a dance or a festival.......

with the TWIST: use handmade flower(s)

REMEMBER: No stamps!

We have some inspiration for you from

Dale

Here in Australia it is winter......Dale is in Western Australia where is is not quite as cold
as here in Tassie............
Her colours reflect the landscape of WA beautifully
