I've used Wall Grout and Ceiling Sparkle Grout for my creation.

IT IS CALLED

You can see more on her blog but
WARNING: if you are scared of spiders, be careful as you scroll down her blog......

Isn't this altered book cover just beautiful!

Challenge #36 Mixed Media PLUS new team members welcomed

Well, what a very busy post this one will be - I have several things to do: (reminder - winners from May will be announced next week)

Firstly, I would like to welcome several NEW Design Team Members to the team - in no order except alphabetical

SAMARA from Canada

I'm Samara. Bohemian. Hippie. Mommy. Pet Lover. Color freak. Introvert. Quirky. Country Girl. Artist. Loyal. Protective. Leo.

 and  WYNN from Cyprus

I have lived in Cyprus for many years and thoroughly enjoy the relaxed way of life. I have always had an interest in all things arty-crafty but didn't start card making until I arrived in Cyprus after retiring from teaching in England. I currently, along with another ex pat, run a Card and Papercraft Group here in Paphos. I am also involved with a charity, Paphos Ex Pats Kidney Assn. We raise money for the Dialysis unit at the General Hospital. We are currently trying to raise money for another Dialysis Machine. The cost will be 25,000 euros so I'm busy with lots of fund raising events. My life here is very full but I naturally miss my family. I have two children and four delightful grandchildren who are growing up too fast.

Secondly, we have to say another sad goodbye to a team member - Jan has decided to leave as well, and enjoy the busy Spring and Summer time. I know when Merry decided to close this blog late last year, and then I took it over at the very last minute, Jan was obliging enough to stay and help get it going again, so I am thankful for the time and effort, Jan and wish you all the best in whatever you newest venture may be.

Now, dear reader, if you were hesitating about applying for a DT role at Unstampabelles before and you are reading this, you may be inspired to apply - just shoot me an email! Remember, you would be working with NO STAMPS AT ALL!

Now, as you know from the heading, the new challenge is:

MIXED MEDIA
with the
TWIST - ALTER SOMETHING

So it can be a card, or a project or a page - as long as it is paper based and does not have stamps (rubber, digi or poly!).  You have a month - until 27th June in fact - to create something, photograph it and uplift it to here!

This June we are being
Sponsored by

Bizzy Becs Store Blog

The PRIZE:

This  Marianne  Butterfly Die

Isn't that fabulous!!

What inspiration have we from the wonderful Design Team?  Lets have a look!

Our Guest Designer for this month is the very talented

My Photo

Hi, My name is Jackie Cornfield. I am a happily married mother of two and grandma of one. All girls and we adore them! I manage 2 craft shops and card making/papercraft is a massive passion of mine. I try to do it daily! I am on several Design Teams and just love it, blogging has become my major addiction! There is no cure!!

Previously the tin was the container my husband’s leather male( !) bracelet came in, I nabbed it for this project!

Yummy work and so fun!

Now, what have the rest of the DT come up with to inspire you all!

She says: I've used stamping misting and applied paint through a mask

Wynn
She used paint to cover a wooden photo frame and added diamantes .....with her new gem setter whoo hoo....plus silk flowers.

A mixed media canvas!  She had a great time playing with the paint, texture paste, rub-ons and different patterned papers!

I used glimmer mist to stencil the inside of a pizza box (the scrapbooking order variety not the ones with left over cheese and crumbs!) then cut out to appropriate size. Go visit her blog to find out what else happened to create this beautiful piece!

I have been playing with frames and canvas, but for today I have altered a canvas and then added it to the front of a card.

She says: I have altered a notebook cover using paints, photo, papers, lace, diecut butterfly, stickers and glitter

So, let us see what great things you  all come up with - mix your media and add the TWIST by altering something as well.

Remember - you cannot use stamps of any kind for this challenge.  If we find a stamp, the entry becomes ineligible and the image is replaced. This is only fair to all those of you who are willing to accept a challenge, not just make a card and find a challenge theme that looks as if it suits.

Final Week for Challenge #35

Just a quick reminder that this is the last week to get anything in for the current challenge at Unstampabelles, which is for

a Special Person

This person can be male or female, sibiling or parent, any other relative, a friend or just a person who has inspired you!

It can be a CARD or a PROJECT
TWIST: to write in your blog WHY this person is SPECIAL.

Some final inspiration this week comes from the team - I don't have anything to share this week as I have been away for a few days - BUT, the team always come up trumps! Many thanks to

who created this papertole card for a special friend

You can go

to find the challenge!
You have until the 30th May to enter

The sad news is that Beth will be leaving us at the end of the month, having spent a long time on the Unstampabelles team.

Now, this means that there has to be a Design Team call.
So, if you think you can work to the rule of NO STAMPS and create projects which showcase your skills in creating with paper and ink, this could be for you!

If you go to the top of the blog you will see a tag called 'Ideas for Creations' where we talk about the many things you can do to create without actually using either stamps or digital stamps. If you are excited about this type of challenge, please send me (Susan at Time to Play) an email with the words "Design Team" in the subject line. Tell me who you are, where you live and why you would like to be a member of our team. You need to be able to make an item at least once a month and to photograph/scan it and put it up on the DT blog two days prior to the challenge going live. Ideally you would be prepared to make at least one other or hopefully two other pieces as well - but this is not obligatory.

The sad news is that Beth will be leaving us at the end of the month, having spent a long time on the Unstampabelles team. Beth has been with us for over two years, and I was very pleased when she decided to stay with me when Merry passed the reins over at the beginning of 2014. I thank you for your loyalty, friendship, assistance and support Beth. I has meant a lot to me.

Now, this means that there has to be a Design Team call.
So, if you think you can work to the rule of NO STAMPS and create projects which showcase your skills in creating with paper and ink, this could be for you!

Now, on to this weeks inspiration from the team:

JULENE
A friend's mother is a great scone cook, and she will have given her this on Mother's Day

She made this card for her youngest daughter's birthday.

Isn't that embossing folder cute!

Made this one for a fun loving friend of hers, who acts way younger than her years!!

Susan: a tag for a relative who is a Carer for his Partner

Well there you have it for another week - you have two more weeks to enter and we are waiting to see what you can create for us!

Winner's for Challenge#34

Winner's for the Challenge #34 - Incorporate an Animal or Bird in your work

The TWIST for this challenge was to use pastel colours. Now,  you didn't have to accept the TWIST in your work, and it would not disqualify you from the prize, BUT it is fairly obvious that the DT will most probably be looking for someone who takes on the extra challenge when they choose the DT Favourite, or if there are projects hard to decide between, someone who has gone that little bit further to meet the whole challenge will be selected first.

Our wonderful Sponsor for this month has been REGAL CRAFT:
Thanks REGAL CRAFT!

True Random Number Generator  24
That means our winner is
Don't you love the way she has used paste and stencils to create a scene on some lovely DP. I love the flower swathe best. An old technique resurrected, and looking fabulous and very on-trend too using paste!
Congratulations Mags - please contact me for details to collect your prize!

Now, for the DT Favourite

This was tight, with seven cards nominated and two ending up together in the votes, so I decided there should be two DT Favourites this month - Congratulations to

and

Now, remember, you have to stick to the theme, and NOT USE STAMPS in your project. Please remember that before linking your work. It is always unpleasant having to take down an entry (no, not literally, we are not that unkind!) because they don't read the rules.

Just a reminder too - winners from April will be posted next week so check back on Monday 12th to see if you are a winner or a DT Favourite!  DT Favourites will be asked to be Guest Designers for our blog some time in the future and Pooja was just that - a past winner! She accepted the challenge to be a Guest Designer and has created a fabulous card for your inspiration:

"I have create a gate-fold card based on with a pop-up inside.I have layered as well as loaded it !!"

Pooja's blog is called Reusingwith Quilling and is well worth a visit!

What has the Design Team come up with this month? You just wait till you see that wonderful work they have created to inspire you! Remember, NO STAMPS were harmed in these pieces of work!

From JanR - I made this for my daughter.

From Jane

From Julene. This is for my sister for Mother's Day.

Susan: for a special friend

Tracey...a Mother's Day card for my special mom
