I have been a bit busy lately - travelled to Melbourne (for me that's over seas!) to see the Granddaughter in the Edinburgh Tattoo performance in Melbourne. She is part  of the NZ Army Band. a fabulous weekend, and we stayed on and visited with family.

This was opening night at the Etiad Stadium. - they rebuilt the Edinburgh  castle for the event, but it was probably out of cardboard! We were looking forward to going to this and seeing her perform live, and then we have all the photo's and video's and memories to look back on - the window is the lens from the camera!

We have some Design Team inspiration again for you - perhaps some of this will give you te incentive to make and enter the challenge!

Week Two for Challenge #54: Looking Forward, Looking Back

Hello Peeps! Hope your week has gone well. 

School has gone back here, after the long summer holiday's and life is returning to normal. I have a photo for you, taken this morning at Lauderdale Beach (in the South-East of Tassie) by Greg Faull. He is such a gifted photographer and he loves this state. 

It's a bit overcast this morning but that will burn off soon and the sun will shine through.

I thought this photo followed the theme of our current challenge quite well - the old and the new, with the 'mirror' of the sea reflecting the sky!

This month we are challenging you to take a look towards or into the future, and at the same time, reference looking back to the past. There is an Australian song by past iconic songster Slim Dusty (Country and Western) and as soon as I thought of this challenge, that song popped into my mind.

These are the first two verses:

I’ve come a long way down the track

Now, there are many way you can go with this challenge and the TWIST of the window or mirror:

Holiday post for the winners!

Hi all - hope you had a great Christmas break and a fabulous New Year celebration - or were you like me, curled up in front of the TV with a glass of champers at midnight with the hubby? I think I m getting a bit old!

Hello Peeps! How is the countdown to Christmas going for you? 

I think I am doing OK which probably means I have forgotten something!

I'm delighted to have been invited to GDT at Unstampabelles this month.

Here's a little bit about me.

I live in Edinburgh, Bonnie Scotland, with my husband & two feline friends.

I am a dental nurse by day & love to craft of an evening.

I've pretty much crafted all my life one way or another. When I was small, I used to love those little paper dressing up dolls & spent hours cutting out the different outfits & having fashion shows with them. My mum also taught me how to knit & sew.

I've been making cards for about 10 years now. I saw the lovely cards my mum was making & decided to have a bash myself, so got her to show me a few tips & techniques.The first proper card I made was for my Dad's 70th Birthday. From there, things just spiralled out of control & I now have a house full of crafty bits & pieces.

About myself 

I am an ENT Surgeon from India and crafting especially papercrafts is something which helps me big time to destress and keep me relaxed ! Unstampabelles is very very special to me as several years back [Feb 2012 to be exact] when I started crafting , a simple quilled framework I made using recycled materials was picked as the DT favorite and showcased on Susan's Unstampabelles...it gave me such a huge morale boost! Thank you so much Susan for having me here once again

I will share a tutorial on my blog but I am going out of station and so will post on 16th once I am back
